If your camera breaks, or you can't scan the QR code for any reason, use Manual Activation. It is 100% as effective as scanning.
📍 Where to find the code?
Open your Roamiya confirmation email. Scroll down to the "Manual Activation Details" section. You will see:
- SM-DP+ Address: (e.g.,
rsp.truphone.comorgdsb.net) - Activation Code: (A long string of letters and numbers, e.g.,
Trying-To-Type-This-Is-Hard)
💡 Tip: Copy these codes on your phone so you can paste them. Typing them by hand is prone to errors!
🍎 iPhone (iOS) Manual Setup
- Go to Settings > Cellular > Add eSIM.
- Tap Use QR Code.
- Tap Enter Details Manually (Bottom of screen).
- Paste the SM-DP+ Address.
- Paste the Activation Code.
- (Optional) Leave "Confirmation Code" blank unless provided.
- Tap Next.
🤖 Samsung (Android) Manual Setup
- Go to Settings > Connections > SIM Manager > Add eSIM.
- Tap "Scan QR code".
- Tap "Enter activation code" text button.
- Paste the code in this format:
LPA:1$SM-DP-ADDRESS$ACTIVATION-CODE. (Note: Most modern Samsungs have separate fields now, follow your screen prompts). - Tap Add.
🟣 Pixel (Android) Manual Setup
- Go to Settings > Network & internet > SIMs > Add SIM.
- Select "Download a new eSIM".
- Tap "Need help?" or "Enter manually".
- Paste the details.
Common Errors
"Invalid Code"
- Check for hidden spaces at the start or end of the pasted text.
- Ensure you didn't mix up the Address and the Activation Code fields.
"Looking for Plan..." (Stuck)
- Ensure you have a stable WiFi connection.
- Restart your phone and try again.
