How to Install eSIM on Google Pixel (Android 14/15)

Setup guide for Roamiya eSIM on Google Pixel 6, 7, 8, 9 and Fold.

Google Pixel phones offer one of the smoothest eSIM experiences. Here is how to set it up on Android 14 and 15.

πŸš€ Installation Steps

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Network & internet.
  3. Tap SIMs.
  4. Tap Add SIM (or the + icon).
  5. Select "Download a new eSIM".
  6. Scan the QR code from your Roamiya email.
  7. Tap Download to confirm.

βš™οΈ Essential Configuration

After the download is complete:

  1. Tap on your Google Pixel Settings > Network & internet > SIMs.
  2. Select your new Roamiya eSIM.
  3. Toggle "Use SIM" to ON.
  4. Toggle "Mobile Data" to ON.
  5. Toggle "Roaming" to ON (Required for international data).

Pro Tip: You can rename the SIM to "Travel" or the country name (e.g., "Japan") to simplify things.

πŸ“Ά Managing Dual SIM

Your Pixel can keep two SIMs active at once:

  • Calls/SMS: Use your Physical SIM (Home).
  • Data: Use your Roamiya eSIM.

To set this up, go to Network & internet > SIMs > Primary SIM and ensure "Mobile Data" is switched OFF there, or strictly select the eSIM as the data preference.

Troubleshooting

  • No Signal? Toggle Airplane mode on/off.
  • Can't Scan? Tap "Need help?" on the scan screen to enter the manual activation code.
  • Still stuck? See our Manual Activation Guide.
